1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GroupHabits ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

GroupHabits is a habit tracking application that allows users to create and join accountability groups, track personal and shared habits, and monitor progress over time. The Service includes web-based access and may include mobile applications.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

4. Subscriptions and Payments

GroupHabits offers both free and paid subscription tiers. For paid subscriptions:

• Payment is processed securely through Stripe
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
• You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
• Refunds are provided at our discretion for unused subscription periods
• Prices may change with 30 days notice

5. Free Trial

New group subscriptions include a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the Service
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers

7. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create (habits, journal entries, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.

You are responsible for the content you create. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.

8. Group Ownership

Group owners are responsible for managing their groups and ensuring members comply with these terms. Group owners can remove members and control group settings. When a group owner deletes a group, all associated data is permanently removed.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by GroupHabits and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our permission.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• The Service will meet your specific requirements
• Any results or outcomes from using the Service

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GroupHabits shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
